We use the Plasma Arc in-office whitening system because we feel it provides you with the best possible results. In many cases, we are able to lighten your teeth up to eight or nine shades.

Dr. Schaffer will isolate the gum tissue surrounding your teeth in order to reduce sensitivity. He will then apply a 37% hydrogen peroxide gel solution to your teeth. The Plasma Arc lighting system is completely self-activating, so there is no need for lasers or special lights.

Your procedure will take about an hour to complete, and you should notice the results immediately. It is important to avoid eating or drinking staining foods and beverages for 24 hours, since they may negate the effectiveness of your tooth whitening procedure.

Our tooth whitening treatments are completely safe and provide very effective results. You may experience some minor sensitivity; however, by taking a couple of aspirin or ibuprofen before your treatment, you should be able to eliminate this sensitivity altogether.
